PT CRUISER TOUCH-UP PAINTS

Useful Mopar touch-up paints with a brush and a ballpoint pen in the lid for applying paint to scratches, stone chips etc. The paint code for PT Cruisers always starts with the letter P and on some cars is to be found on a white label fixed to the inside of the driver’s or passenger door jamb. On UK cars, under the bonnet on the driver’s side of the bulkhead, there is a small metal plate with embossed lettering. The 3 digit paint code follows the letters APA. DIESEL DRIVE BELT

The 2.2 litre diesel PT Cruiser engine has a camshaft chain rather than a belt and does not require changing routinely like the petrol models. The belt here, which drives the alternator, water pump etc. is recommended for change at 62500 miles (100,000kms) or at 60 months. Fits all 2.2 diesel models 2002-2010.

On the 2.2 Diesel PT Cruisers the hydraulic clutch slave cylinder and the release bearing are a combined unit. Problems, like the the clutch not disengaging, are most likely to be due to failure of this unit.
